Thanks everyone for the info. I think we've decided on Dr Warren DeAmbrosis as he seems to have the most recommendations throughout forums. We also like the look of him. I'm going to my GP this afternoon for a referral then we should be on our way.

So it appears Dr Warren DeAmbrosis is retiring at the end of the year and not taking on any more patients. Any other recommendations anyone?

What? I had no idea!!! He's my FS I've heard good things about Scott Salisbury and Ben kroon is filling in for warren when he goes on leave in July so he'll be doing our WPU and ET. Oh I'm so sad about the news of wazza's retirement!

Rather pessimistically (see sig), I've just been checking out the doctors at QFG in preparation for when I move to Brisbane in just over a week. Can anyone tell me much about Dr Shane Higgins? I like the fact that he can be your obs as well, just like my current FS in Perth. Anyone had him for fertility treatment?

I was with Shane Higgins. Really lovely doctor but his secretary is a nitemare. I rang on day in lots if pain and she would not put me through to him but told me to take a panadol. He doesn't tend to take phone calls unless you are on a cycle and will not just see you for a chat. I changed to Scott Salisbury. He would have to be one if the nicest people I've ever met and the complete opposite of Shane. He has an after hours number that you can call after 7pm and you can chat to him whenever. His secretaries are lovely. Turned out that I had a twisted cyst on my ovary that Scott removed. He just knows his stuff. Good luck

I second Scott Salisbury. I was a Warren patient but last year Warren had emergency back surgery while I was in the middle of a cycle. I rang around frantically to find someone else to take over mid cycle and Scott squeezed me in at 5 am! He's the nicest guy and has a very gentle mannerism, and as the other poster said, very approachable. Will always answer you if you page him after hours or let you know how you can contact him otherwise or arrange some other specialist to cover him if he can't. He's the one who had the Midas touch with me after 14 failed cycles!!! Warren feels he's been outdone, kept asking me what secret weapon Scott used.
