I'm 36+4 and just wondering if everyone loose's their show or if some never do, I've been having irregular tightenings for the past two days and have had a lot more discharge but nothing like what midwife described in anti natel class. Baby also seems to be pushing down hard on pelvis like he is ready to come...
I'm a first time mum so don't want to phone hospital if it is nothing as once it's labour my plan is to stay home for as long as I can...

I only did with my 2nd. After the 'show' (lol) I went into labour 2 days later but just had this feeling something was about to happen lol and it did. Good on you for wanting to stay at home as long as possible. It was the best thing I did. Labored at home for 4 hours and then 2 hours at
Hospital untill she was born. It was the best out of my 2 births. Loved it

I am now 37wks and am having lot's of pre labour pains, but to date, no show.
All the best with your birth, very exciting the first time around!

No I only had a small show once out of 6 births.

I only had a small amount of pink when I wiped with DD1 right at the start of labour. I also had a small hindwater leak.
I had some really runny bloody mucousy discharge with dd2, again immediately at the start of labour.
