I am 'always a bridesmaid, never a bride'. I have been a bridesmaid 4 times and a flowergirl once

4 times, 3 times as a child and once as an adult to my cousin, it was fun, they paid for the dresses and even bought us some lovely jewellery, everything was organised for us I didn't have to do anything other than turn up!

I've been asked 3 times, but said no to one of them. I really didn't think she should marry him (he was physically and emotionally abusing her) and I felt like I wouldn't be able to stand up there on the day and be happy for her. She also lived ages away so I would have been a pain to get dress fittings for or help at all with the wedding.
The two times I have been bridesmaid were fun as the brides fairly relaxed... I have heard about some shockers though!! One of the other bridesmaids in the first wedding I was in was a really pain... Refused to wear the colour the bride liked, whinged about everything, etc.

Oh I was a flower girl as an 8 year old too and LOVED it. I have really nice memories of that day, I felt like a little princess!

Twice, I loved it except for the walking down the isle with nervous wobbly legs.
Both weddings and brides were lovely and the planning of and the events themselves were heaps of fun.

Twice as a flower girl as a child, four times as a bridesmaid as an adult, with a fifth time coming next year
Loved all of them, I love weddings!
The only downside of having been in so many is now choosing my MOH next year when we get married!

Four times. Once for my sister, twice for my bff and once for the girl next door. I don't think I have ever had to pay for a bridesmaids dress, always just worn whatever shoes I had (brides were cool with that), except for 1 we had to buy $0 shoes from spend less. Paid for hair and make up for 2 of the weddings. None of them were terrible divas, infact my bff, who suffers anxiety, just wanted to pretend the whole thing wasn't happening.
There was actually a chance that I may have had to have my IUI on the morning of bff's 2nd wedding, but fortunately we were good to go the day before.
