$850 including the veil, both made by a dress maker. I just took in some photos of what I wanted and she made it...it was a very simple dress but beautiful. We just had a really small low key wedding so I didn't want a dress that was too OTT.

I went into Bella Donna in Brisbane (back in mid 2008). It was early July & they had a massive clearance on the sample dresses that ladies try on. I got a $3000 dress for $680. It was two sizes too big & had a small makeup mark on it. I fell in love with it as soon as I put it on. They pinned it back so I could see what it would look like once they fit it.

When I got home I took it to a local dress maker who fitted & pressed it for me. All up this cost $110.

It was a gorgeous dress. I never ever wanted to go over top because at the end of the day it is only worn for 5-6 hours, which is a shame because I LOVE my wedding dress

$1000. That was nearly 13 years ago.

It needed to be taken in at the waist but my mum did it

$1400 + alterations that I think came to about $100. We didn't go into debt for our wedding and we didn't have time to take a honeymoon. I still tell hubby he owes me a honeymoon.

$900 on clearance at a wedding expo. original price was $2700

Then $200 to have it altered. It was a size 14, I'm only an 8-10 but loved the dress to much!

2200 for mine. Now I'm trying to sell it on Gumtree for half price.
