I actually bought the dress before I'd even met DH - I found it browsing eBay one day and just HAD to buy it. Turned out it fit our wedding venue perfectly. It was fate for sure!

do you mind posting a pic? That dress sounds absolutely divine!

around $3,500 because I had it designed and made especially for me.

truth is I hated it on my wedding day and have never even bothered to get it dry cleaned (and the wedding was almost 5 years ago).

I do not regret spending that amount of money but if I had to do it over I would get something from a bridal shop.

It was about $400 off the rack but was way, way too big and strapless so i had it taken in and straps (which were stupidly expensive hand beaded things) added which made the total around $900.

Paid $3000 after various discounts. I had it custom made by a designer who was pretty new so she gave me discounts & also underestimated her labour I think. Was exactly what I wanted even though she cut it fine time wise (finished week before wedding but I didn't stress as I knew where she lived & had made friends with her puppy - cue bridezilla cackle ) It was expensive fabric, lots of lace & swarovski crystals by the thousand. I'm planning on wearing it for some glamour pics "trashing it" in a ****** of the rainforest we got married in, once the weather gets warm. Then I'll dry clean it & pack it away until I'm old & crazy enough to do the housework in it.

Lol! This made me laugh I can't wait till I'm old and crazy enough to do that too because no one will say anything because "she's old if she's happy let her!" lol I hear this about my grandma a lot so she gets away with everything it's the funniest because she knows exactly what she's doing
