This was us plus we'd just bought a house. In the end though we didn't compromise on anything and it was exactly as we wanted.

We got married at our engagement party as a surprise. No bridesmaids to worry about, no flowers, no cake (there was desert just no formal wedding cake) and I think it was pretty perfect.

We had a photographer and a caterer as the splurge. I have great memories of the night

We are doing it again in February it will be 7 yrs on the day.
We couldn't have siblings at our first and it was nothing like what we wanted but us together. So we are doing it again. Except this time we will have a 6 week old bub joining us.

Nothing about my wedding day was what i had planned. hubbies family was there who had abused us just days earlier and some people that i despised turned up but you know what despite the fact that we got marrie in a registry office in jeans in a hole of a town with people we didn't like it was one that the happiest days of my life and i wouldn't change it for the world. neither would i renew my vowels or do it again. I'm married to the man of my dreams (most of the time lol) and for that my wedding day was perfect

Loved our wedding. I organised most of it in 7 weeks as I found out I was pregnant and brought it forward by about 4 months. But no I wouldn't do it again. For me getting married was more important than having a big wedding.

Ours was like a big party, not overly traditional - we didn't have place settings or a bridal waltz. We had the bits and pieces that we wanted, like a dress, traditional vows, etc. It wasn't too expensive (under $10k) and was at a big house we hired for the weekend.

    Things I would change:
    - didn't have a dance with my dad, that would have been nice.
    - different song to walk down the aisle to.

That's IT. Overall it was a success I think!

Id love to redo my wedding, it was wonderful but i wish i had enjoyed the planning a bit more. Now we are older and have better taste too haha but i know i would have to get married 20times to do all the things i would love to do so we are opening a wedding centre and i can live vicariously through everyone else!

I wouldn't do the wedding over, I would just change my photographer.

Don't cheap out on the photos, you will get what you pay for!

Nup. Our photographer was $350 for 9 hours, 500 photos on disc for me to do whatever I wanted with and they were amazing.
