Default Sorta spinoff - Do you have a dishwasher?

I absolutely hate doing dishes, mainly cos i don't have a dishwasher and spend half the day washing dishes (we have an old kitchen which we will renovate when we can afford it)

I know its a very first-world problem but i wanna know just how badly off i am. How many of us have dishwashers? I'm guessing most.... poll to come

    Do I have one? Yes.

Do I use it? Absolutely NEVER. I have not once used the dishwasher in this house. In fact, it's turned off at the power point.

It's just myself and 2 boys. It would take about 3 days to fill the thing to do a full load and the idea of leaving dishes unwashed for that amount of time chills my blood LOL

We do, but it's broken. It broke Christmas day 2009

But I never used it anyway, I only used it that day as we had heaps of guests for Christmas dinner.

    YES!

Couldn't live without it -- it was the first thing I ripped this kitchen apart to accomodate when we bought this house.

At the moment one of the drawers is broken and it's had a huge impact on my day..I cook a lot from scratch.

People who have one in the house and don't use it are crazy in tha coconut!

DF and I hate washing up. It was our first "joint" purchase when we moved in together!
It's used twice a day. Couldn't live without it!

Yes. We rent and I get extremely upset if we go to a new place and their isnt one. Only coz DP uses so many dishes for doing a Breaky or something. He must use every single dish and dishes we don't have... Well that's what it looks like lol

Yes, and it's humming away happily now. I almost can't remember when I didn't have one - 1998 I think.
I run ours twice a day, family of 6 and I cook a lot, mostly from scratch, it's one appliance I could never give up
