1xbabyplease what a bummer I'm sorry about that result. I have no advice hopefully the other girls will. When can u speak to your fs?
I have an idea re the smug pregnant animals, I think we need a mascot. Introducing K'iesha the Pregnant Cow. I thought since IVF makes one such as cow she'd be a good mascot for us. We can rub her belly for luck (like Buddha. Kinda...). I have given her a bogan name as bogans breed like rabbits so they are lucky fertility charms too.

Hi Babyplease. i just got back from my acupunturist and she gave me a medical study to read (not herbal, medical) and they put IVF women with thin lining (<8mm) onto 3x 600mg of Vit E and L-arginine. In 75% of cases the lining increased above 8mm!! I have always had quite thin lining, short periods and have not paid much attention to trying to increase it. But this cycle, after reading that and hearing about L-arginine and Vit E for a while, I decided to give it a shot... and I am on 7.5mm on Day 8! So who knows. Can't hurt.
Warning- that L-arginine tastes TERRIBLE. Well known fact. But I have been mixing a teaspoon per day in a shot of Orange Juice and having it before dinner. Also- spread your 3 Vit E capsules out over the day.

Tigger - you are a bloody legend (that was my bogan response to your boganism)!!
1xbabyplease - very sorry. And I dont have any experience with this. I always have the "wow that lining is fantastic" for what that is worth of course! If I had a dollar for all of that our IVF/ICSI would be free! The Vit E and L-argnine sounds like the go.
Good luck you girls with the eggies still doing there thing xx
And so sorry for the stupid white space on those evil (but we really love using them) tests.
Luckyme - I agree with 1xbabyplease about the trigger thing. It is also as I think Sariele said that sometimes they just dont have eggs in them (this is quite rare though) and it can also be that the protocol just wasnt right and so the eggs didnt mature properly with the FSH etc, and then the trigger factor comes in. I guess that is just the science part in all of this. How many cycles have you done now? I find that the first couple are about working all of this out, and I know that doesnt help in terms of how you feel. But also 8 eggs is actually a good haul!
AFM - hit rock bottom last night. Too painful to talk about here now, cause Im at working and already done the ugly cry once, so trying to pull myself together for a meeting we have right now
Take care ladies xx

Lackers - oh, I must have missed your post about your grandma. I'm so sorry to hear that. Take care & hope it goes well, wishing your grandma goodbye.
Workingmumma - wow, 31 eggs!!! Gee, I hope you get great fertilisation rates, and I hope you feel better soon. Take care of yourself.
Luckyme - not all follicles contain an egg, they can be empty. And also there may be some with eggs that just don't want to come out. That happened to me last time. My FS said he really had to stab around a bit (which was why I had pain last time - it is not so bad this time, despite more eggs). It could be, as 1xbabyplease said, due to the trigger just not working on all of them. Or them not being quite mature enough. I had read a study about eggs developing a voracious, short-term hunger for zinc just to get them to that final stage of maturation. So this time, I really increased the zinc just in the last couple of days before my EPU.
Lynlee - I have only done antagonist cycles, sorry.
mumtochris - I was thinking about you yesterday. So sorry to hear no BFP. But excuse me, your clinic just gives you a crappy cheap HPT??? That sux. I would buy a FRER, if I were you. As you said, still no AF. When I was UTD before, I could never get a BFP on those dip stick type tests - even when I was 7 weeks, with a fetal heartbeat & HCG in the several thousands. Still no BFP on the strip type of test. They are useless.
Tigger - that nurse sounds worse than useless. I have my fingers crossed for you! But OMG you cracked me up with K'iesha the cow. I was lying in bed after my first pessary, reading the thread on my phone & I was laughing so much I thought the pessary would pop out. I especially love the bogan name.
MusicalGal - so sorry your cycle is not going well. I don't know why that happens. I guess some cycles your body just doesn't want to cooperate.
1xbabyplease - that lining isn't too far off where it needs to be - grow lining, grow. That suggestion of vitamin E & l-arginine sounds worth a try. I've also heard it might help to drink pomegranate juice & raspberry leaf tea. Possibly for the iron?
AFM: I am feeling good. I was in a lot more pain last time. Could it be because it wasn't my FS who did the EPU this time? It was the professor (who probably knows what he's doing - not saying my FS doesn't lol) - maybe it's in the technique, or maybe the trigger just worked better this time, or I had more mature eggs ... or maybe the big surge of zinc at the end did help them in that respect. I was really expecting a call from my FS yesterday to do a bit of a debrief - he did last time and we had a good chat about how it went. And this time, as he couldn't make it & someone else did it, I thought he would talk to the prof then call me. But he didn't.
Anyway, waiting for the call to find out about fert rates.

1xbabyplease - I have always had a thin lining. For me it's because I don't ovulate naturally, so nothing there to make a lining.
Even when I did Clomid and then FSH injections (prior to starting IVF), the lining was always too thin - and I guess that's maybe why I had no success after heaps of cycles of injections/ IUIs.
For IVF the lining DID get there, because I produced enough follicles to pump out oestrogen to thicken up the lining.
However, I'm doing an FET cycle this time, and because I don't ovulate that means that I won't produce a lining for the baby to implant into. So for this cycle I am taking the contraceptive pill to make a period happen. And then on day 2 of AF I have to start taking Progynova (which is oestrogen) to make sure the lining gets thicker. Then I have a scan on CD10 to see where it's at, and decide from there when is a good day to do the FET.
So perhaps something like Progynova/ oestrogen support could be helpful for you too? May be worth discussing with your FS.

As soon as I posted, they rang. 9 out of 10 have fertilised!! The other one may still, but it's out of the preferred window now & it hasn't done anything.
They don't check them tomorrow, so I won't hear anything until Saturday. How will I survive?
