Default 10 Month old sleep HELP!

    Hi all,

Hoping some experiences mummys out there can give me some tips/advice!!

My 10 month old has always been on Tizzie Halls 'save our sleep' routine.

Since about 6 weeks old he has slept 7pm-7am, an absolute dream baby.

Occasionally he would stir around 5-6am. Whenever this happened you could usually give him his blanket toy, and reposition him and he would go back to sleep instantly - the last week this has not been the case.

    I have tried the obvious;
*He is not eating anymore than usual so I do not think he is hungry.
    *His room is not cold
    * His room is not yet light.

Any ideas on what I can do to help him get that extra 1-2 hours sleep?

This has come at the WORST time! I am going back to work in 2 weeks. I have to go interstate for work extremely often in my first 2 months back and DH will be left to juggle baby/work and moving house without me!

I will also add that DS has no teeth yet. He has had the teething symptoms since about 3 months old (Likes to crew on everything, very drooly ect..) So I am not sure if this could be a teething thing?

Any advice/tips welcome. I am ready to try anything!!

I second the teeth. You're getting into a transition stage for many bubs where sleep can become an issue. I'm probably not the best to give advice since my DS was a very bad sleeper. Just lots of

Maybe try some of the teething gels and see if it helps.

The drooling and chewing was probably also the oral phase of development rather than teething in those earlier months.

My DD is 9.5mo and sleeps from about 6:30/7pm until 6am. But that is rarely unbroken sleep! Usually we have to get up once or twice a night to resettle her. Sometimes it takes an hour or more. Sometimes she needs a feed. It is exhausting and I've been back at work for 2 months now. All part of the gig really.

It sounds to me like your bub sleeps really well and I don't think waking at 6am is too early. Babies change their routines all the time, it's totally normal.

Has bubba moved up to the appropriate routine for the age? Is bubba eating 3 solids meals per day, with protein/meat at least 4 times per week?

Before 6 months my bub started cat napping during the day and waking before 7am. I moved bub up to the 6 & 1/2 month routine early (including cut the 4:30 nap) went from 2 to 3 solid meals per day, introduced meat and within a week or so bub was sleeping his full day naps and sleeping through until 7am.

At ten months DS stopped sleeping from 8pm till 9am.
He was waking at 6am every morning and we were stuffed.
    Nothing we did helped.
At 11 months and one week he started sleeping in till seven on his own.
Now at almost 13 months he sleeps till around seven thirty, eight very rarely.
I think they just go through a stage.
    Good luck
