    Hi 2012! Another commuter!!

Ange.. Yeah traffic at times is a pain. Like tonight... Start of school holidays! Was a nightmare coming home.
We probably could have chosen either but I picked John Flynn because they offer water birth and have king size beds (not recliners) for DH to stay too. That's the only reason because everything else at John Flynn sucks!! (have had some bad experiences at John Flynn with family members). I've heard lots of good things about pindara (a friend just had her baby there today!!). My OB seems very nice. I've only had one appointment. He took time and didn't rush me. Was pleasant and I felt as comfortable as any first timer could be I guess!!!
    What about you???

Wow! I didn't even know that John Flynn had King Size Beds, a little too far away for us to travel still. Hubby will have to put up with the sofa bed at Pindarra I hadn't heard anything bad about John Flynn, I've had a few friends that had bubs there over 5 years ago. Hopefully your experience is a good one. Great news re your friend and the new bub, do you know who her Ob was?

My OB is great, we've seen her 4 times already and if I have any problems or concerns I just give her a call (she calls us back personally when she is out of her appointments). She likes to see us at least every month so that she can check everything is ok with bubs and to be honest hubby and I love to see our baby regularly (little bit addicted!!).

Are you booked in for your Morphology scan as yet?

Congrats on your pregnancy!! My best friend had her bub at GC Hospital she had a really great experience. She was in a room with 3 other mums who went in to labour the day before her, as they were 2nd and 3rd time mums my GF could ask them lots of questions.

I don't know her OBs name but I will ask!

I have booked scan! Three weeks away now. Rang around too because I was sick of south coast radiology and their charges and no 3d/4d stuff. I found paradise ultrasound right near pindara. They bulk bill, have the fancy 3d/4d stuff and give you a cd too. So I'm hoping they are good! Has anyone been there?

I'm not a (1st) time mum but I'm due in 3 weeks, my daughter is 6 and at school but I'm definitely feeling like a first time mum again and live in coombabah. I don't actually know anyone else who is pregnant ATM would love to meet other mums/families in a similar situation

I used Paradise Ultrasound for our NT scan they were $150 (plus a rebate from Medicare) instead of the $320 at south Coast with no rebate! Paradise Ultrasound are bulk billing our Morphology which is great. Annie was the lady that looked after us at the NT scan she was fabulous. She was really friendly, she spent about 45 mins with my hubby and I and they give you disks and print outs of pictures. We have or Morphology with her again next Thursday can't edit to see how much bubs has grown.

Are you planning on finding out the sex or are you keeping it a surprise?

Hi Lou89, congrats on bubs imminent arrival! I bet your daughter is excited to be a big Sister in a few weeks time!

I am "retired" and like you don't know anyone else who is pregnant based close by and that isn't working and would love to connect with other pregnant ladies or new mums.

Were are you planning on having bub?

    Hi Lou!!

Hi ange. I didn't pay the exorbitant fee at south coast, my doctor requested that I be the charged the schedule fee which is half what they usually charge. It's a joke!!! Seriously, I've been paying $60 for dating/progress scans. Getting most of it back and paid $100 for nt scan with over $80 back. All I did was have my doctor request it.
I'm glad to hear good things about paradise ultrasound though. I'm hoping they will tell me the baby's gender!!! Well they better!!! Haha I have almost 2 1/2 weeks to wait for it though!! Can't wait to hear how yours goes! Post pictures!!!
Is anyone going to baby expo in Brisbane this weekend?

    Hi ladies!
    First time Pregnant in southport.
    I'm 22 and 32weeks.

Paradise ultrasounds are really good! Very friendly and if you need extra time to scan they will do it for you. It took first 45minutes then a half hour break as they had a booking and then another half an hour for my morphology at 20weeks. Baby refused to stop snuggling placenta and covering face to get a proper face pic lol.

I want to go to the expo in Brisbane this week but having trouble finding someone to come with me, DF would just get bored and annoy me lol and the thought of sitting/standing on a train after walking around all day at the expo is starting to worry me. I'm at the 'everything is difficult and starting to hurt' stage so the train I think will suck.

I'm going to the GoldCoast hospital too. So far they've been good. Its annoying having to wait ages for an appointment and there's never anywhere to park but apart from that they're fine.
