    Default Complete turmoil

Well a few weeks back we got a bfp very unexpectedly. We went through the process of deciding to keep the pregnancy and then got all excited about the new addition. However we had a scan on Thursday and was told the baby is measuring a week behind dates (6w5d when ment to be almost 8w) and had no heartbeat. However my pregnancy symptoms are sky high (living on saos at the moment) and my uterus is feeling really big and I have 'popped' in the past 2 days. I don't feel like its all over and still think its possible all is ok even though I have been told it all lines up with early fetal demise. Am I in denial and this is all wishful thinking? Or is there a chance this baby is fine.

I think anything is possible, early scans can be up to a week out of date. Not sure on the heartbeat thing though, are you going for another scan? What's your next step?

I have also heard that early scans can be a week out. I had the same last week. I was 6 + 5 at the scan but measured 5 + 5. I was charting and I ovulated 6 or 7 days later then the average. The dr said that could explain it being a week out. could that be a possibility with you???

I'm fairly sure of dates but I could be wrong. I have bloods tomorrow and then a repeat Scan on Friday. I just am worried I'm getting my hopes up with little to no chance of this baby making it

My gp just called me and my HCG is perfect. So they are thinking we are in with a good chance. So happy
