I have been on the pill (Levlen Ed) since December last year and have been taking it at the same time each day. I had sex with my boyfriend May 4th and 10 days later I got brown blood (with a few clots, sorry tmi) which gradually turned light pink, it's now 17th May and only have very light pink when I wipe.
I had a uti last month and had to take antibiotics for a bit, I took them for a few weeks and stopped (even though the doctor/chemist told me to finish the pack even if my symtoms stopped before then), I need to constantly urinate and when I do go only a little bit comes out and it hurts, but when I was pregnant with my other kids this happened too, so I am not sure if it's the uti (urinary tract infection) coming back because I didn't finish the packet of antibiotics.
My period is not due til the 26th May (or there abouts) and I have never had this happen before. I've never had an early period (or whatever this is).
And I am not looking for judgments, just need to know why the heck I am bleeding.
Thanks
And just to add, I am hoping I am NOT pregnant, I am thinking of getting a different form of contreception anyway.

If you bleed when AF isn't due it should always be checked by your GP, I'd head down for a quick checkup

Have you missed any pills to cause the bleeding? I would get a check up and definitely go for something more permanent like the implant which lasts 3 years. You have had a few scares and that way you wouldn't have to worry at all

I don't want to scare you, but when you're on antibiotics, the pill is not so reliable. My SIL fell pregnant with # 4 this way. Goodluck and hope you get the outcome you want.

Antibiotics can make the pill ineffective so i would be concerned about possible pregnancy, even though you didn't miss a pill.
I would think that the uti could have returned due to not finishing the antibiotics so i would go get that checked out by a doctor.

I guess it's too early to test though. I'll wait til my actual period due date comes and if it doesn't I'll test.

If you had sex on the 4th of May and conceived then it would likely show up on a test now so if you're concerned you could test now or if you're not concerned just wait.
I would give the GP a visit anyway to see what's going on. Could be a uti or maybe the pill you are on isn't right for you? No idea but doesn't hurt to check things out

I agree, I think your best bet is to head to your GP just to be safe.
