A hairdresser once put bleach on my hair and then forgot about me. She totally forgot to put me under the heat or anything. Two hours later she remembered I was there and came over and took one of the foils off - my hair was this brittle, orange mess. It was awful.
She refused to fix it and still charged me full price. On the way home I bought a dark brown home dye and fixed it myself.

I had a very thick 80's fringe as a child, but by age 10 I wanted to grow it out. I went for a 'trim' and we told the hairdresser to give the fringe a tiny trim...she cut the fringe soooooo short and it was completely fugly!
There were many tears when I walked out of that salon

My hair is very frizzy and unmanageable at the best of times... so when I go to the hairdresser, I like to have it straightened (I can do it myself, but my hair is really long and I CBF'd).. I pay for the privilege so I was completely p*ssed one day when I was in having my hair done, and they had just done the cut and were about to straighten it, when a new customer walked in requesting to have her hair done right away. All their stylists were busy, but they still wanted to squeeze her in, so they just scrunch dried my hair with the blowdrier- made it WAAAAAAAAY frizzy, added no product and still charged me full price. I was 18 and shy, I didn't know how to stick up for myself back then.. I walked out of the salon in tears, thinking I looked like a poodle (I did.)

I had a side swept fringe and when getting a trim the hairdresser said "are you growing your fringe out?" to which I said "no---" and didn't get to finish because she already had it in her hand and as soon as I said no she just chopped it short. I hated it.

Once a hairdresser randomly decided to shave my neck. Now I have to wax one side every month because it changed the direction the hair grows in & I have somewhat of a neck beard.
For everyone who had really bad stuff happen & still paid full price - OMG!! You poor things!! There is no way anyone who burnt my hair or left it orange unrequested would be seeing my $s! The lady that shaved my neck did though...

About 10 years ago I got foils done at a hairdresser for the first and only time. I told the girl I wanted "strawberry blonde".... She ended up randomly doing chunks of my hair in pale blonde, red and brown. I looked like some sort of exotic zebra. Seriously, when I pulled my hair into a ponytail I had wiggly stripes down the side of my head. It was awful.
I paid $180 for that privilege, and I was a poor uni student at the time.. When I had my graduation a few weeks later, I grabbed a home kit and dyed it back to my natural colour, and I haven't dyed it again since..

A couple of years ago I decided to splurge and get a tint and a handful of foils. Picked a natural looking brown and asked for a few (handful) of blonde foils just on top (have very short hair and didn't want that spotty look at the back).
I left nearly blonde with spots and they charged me $190 for it!!!
I went home and cried ... about how crap I looked AND what they'd charged (normally pay around $110). Then got a phone call to attend a job interview in two days time. I put my brave shoes on and went back the next day and asked for it to be fixed. They tried to tell me I looked good as a blonde but in the end fixed it as best they could.

I've only had one thankfully.
I was in 7th class and I went to the hair dresses and asked for shorter layers in my long hair. She cut my hair ALL off!!! I cried and cried. bobbie pins became my best friend and because of them never had a bad hair day! Phew!! (still HATED my hair though)

Mine is from childhood. I was supposed to get a trim. Instead I walked out minus most of my hair into some short almost mullet like style. I stomped my foot in the hairdressers and said to my mum "I HATE IT! I'M NEVER GETTING MY HAIR CUT AGAIN!"
