    When your microwave heats the bowl/ plate or whatever you have n aswell as the food its time to get a new one?

    I doubt it. Our microwave has done that from the get go, and it's top of the range.

    I thought that meant that you shouldn't use that particular bowl in the microwave.

    I dont think thats true. I've never met a microwave that didn't heat a bowl.

    If the bowl is getting really hot compared to others.. It's just because of the materials the bowl is made with.. Some heat more than others

    Microwaves blast heat at what is in them- they don't "know" to avoid the plate IYKWIM, so no, not true IMO.
