    Default Bleeding gums a symptom?

    I'm 7-8 dpo I was brushing my teeth last night and my gums started to bleed from top and bottom....I'm not sure if I was brushing to hard!

    Anyone had bleeding gums while ttc?

    Hi, bleeding gums was my very first pregnancy symptom.

    Yep I had it too. I had a lot of gum and teeth problems due to pregnancy.

    Me too. I had bleeding gums through my entire pregnancy.

    Yep mine did the entire pg & I had excess saliva for the first 7ish weeks. They were pretty much my only 2 symptoms. Good luck!

    Yeah due to larger blood volumes while pregnant the gums seem to cop it the most. They have more blood flow and therefore a lot more sensitive to brushing. My denitist last time told me to use a softer brush and make sure you clean really well along the gum/teeth line cos any food stuck will inflame the gums and make them bleed too!

    I hated my gums bleeding. Made me really self-conscious about it. I would even avoid smiling and sometimes even talking. What was worse when DP pointed it out. grr thanks dp I already know this but thanks for bringing it to everyones attention

    Woo hoo this is exciting, went to the dentist on the weekend who commented that my gums were swollen and bled easily, when I've never had a problem with this before... Wondering if it could be a REALLY early sign for me :-)
