    Default Parenting payment single?

    Hi guys,

Not sure if this is the right place to put this but my DP have recently decided to call it quits. So my situation currently stands at single mum to DS, student, living with relatives and no income/money cause he was the money maker. I'm now down to my last $100 and I don't have a clue what to do

I'm just after some advice about claiming centrelink, I've never been eligible for anything besides FTB which is only like $200 a fortnight. How would I claim it? How long does it take? What would I need to do? How does child support work etc

    Thanking you in advance.

Get straight onto centrelink , give them a ring and get an appointment and they will be able to help with all the info and tell what you are eligable for and start the claim process.

With child support that is through csa , give them a ring and they can start that process.

Sorry you have to go through this tough time! Hugs

If you walk into centrelink and tell them you are in dire need of financial support they should have you paid within a few days, ask to also see a social worker. If you can provide bank statements stating that you have basically no money and no financial support they are very quick to help. Im sorry for your break up
