    Default Coconut Oil for eczema

My DS has had mild-moderate, persistant eczema since 14 months (he is almost 3 now). We use 1% Egocort Ointment for bad flare ups but someone recently suggested coconut oil for managing it and OMG it works!

I add a slop of it to his bath every night and apply directly to his skin morning and night as well and it has literally cleared his eczema up in 3 days! Seriously! No more dry skin, no more redness, no spots NOTHING!

And you can use it for heaps of other stuff too like MCN friendly nappy rash oil, cooking, general moisturiser, sunburn etc etc.

    Worth a try

    Yay, that's great!!!

I am a very keen supporter of coconut oil for so many different things. I've used it on myself for eczema and dermatitis. I also use it at night as a facial moisturiser and it cleared my skin up so much!

DP uses it when he gets a cold sore and it clears it up.

I use it in my hair as a treatment and it smells so nice!

I've been using it on my belly since being pregnant and so far I don't have any new stretch marks.

    I think it's great stuff!

Health food stores. I have a big jar of it and it was only $13 and because its a very thin oil it lasts AGES.

    Coconut oil is awesome!

I used it on my cracked nipples when DD was born and it was the best thing that helped currently using it to clear up DD's dry skin & cradle cap!

I think I might get some to try on DS2. Nothing else seems to work for him.
