Default What did you eat when sore from braces?

Theres 2 things I make when I'm sore from braces,

Soup with some mashed potato in the
    Middle (not stirred in)

And again soup with home made dumplings

What special unique things would you make when sore? Apart from the obvious like yogurt, custard, eggs etc?

That was pretty much it for me. Soup, yogurt, mash, smoothies. Often I just didn't eat, my mouth was too sore.

'Twas 31 years ago when I got my first set of braces

Most likely scrambled eggs and jelly (not together though, that would be gross!!)

After a few days maybe some spaggy-bol.

    Fresh soft cookies
I froze ice cubes of puréed fruit and yoghurt so I could still eat healthy, just sucked on them.
    Or smoothies.
    HEAPS of soups
    Mashed veg with gravy

I completely forgot about that pain till now lol!

Whatever you eat, don't use metal cutlery. Even the slightest tap against your teeth will be excruciating.

I don't rem what I ate, it was too long ago and they were removeable anyway.

But when DH had his wisdom teeth out i blended some silken tofu with tomato sauce and served it to him for dinner.

    it wasn't a hit. Don't try it

Meals based on tinned tuna or mince, eg. Tuna mornay, savoury mince. curried mince. Served with rice (maybe cooked a bit on the gluggy side) or mashed potato.
Make sure everything in the meal is in little pieces and cooked soft so the most "chewing" you might need to do is mooshing it against your palate with your tongue.

Couscous with super soft veg. I'm thinking next time I'll try baked potato with baked beans, cheese and natural yoghurt. Soups of course.

It's hard for me cos I have ceramic as well which means they stain if anything is too rich in colour.

    I'll think if more
