That I am never going to feel mature enough to do this job!
That unconditional love is completely conditional on how much chocolate you have access too.

there will always be competition but no one has better kids for me, then I do.

Just when you think you cannot feel anymore love, bang it triples again.

The love you feel when they are asleep, curled and warm, is the time of all the best intentions and dreams for their lives.

That 5 minutes peace is golden. So is silence, but then you get a bit suspicious about what they're up to.

Pooing alone is a luxury, so is eating lunch without being disturbed!

    I have learnt That

    I am OLD

That I can't sing for nuts but I am the only one that can sing my kids to sleep

That no matter how old they are, they are still your babies and you still put their wants above yours.

How to deal with multiple age/stages in life at the same time. For example changing a newborn nappy while comforting your adult child who computer just crashed with essay on it that due in hour and they are 1000's klm away, while you have 3 kids complaining/asking for help about homework and another tugging at your leg for a drink of coke knowing full well they aren't allowed it. All while having dinner burning on he stove and somehow managing to stay sane. Well kinda sane or maybe it just that I accepted my lunacy.

Always allow another ten minutes to get out the door on a busy day, cause they are always the days that the baby does a explosive that drips on your shoes or someone throws up unexpectedly.

The dishes can wait cause the kids growing up never does.

Quietness is 96% of the time is a sign there is some bad happening

Hold on to every second because before you know it they will be grown up and moved away.

Competely agree! Also horrible when you catch off them and still have to manage the strength to look after them. Gastro is horrible!
