Default What I have learnt since becoming a parent

So I was thinking about what I have learnt since becoming a parent.

    1) NEVER, EVER, EVER ,EVER step backwards without looking behind me first. Haha. The end result is not pretty!

    2) Always wear a belt or have the drawstrings of my trackies done up tight! Lol both my girls have pulled my pants down while pulling themselves up. Thankfully only at home!

3)A child will eventually work out how to open the child locks on fridges and cupboards. No matter what I do the dd1 will figure out a way to get into something. Even if it means moving furniture around to reach.

What have you learnt since becoming a parent?

haha those are pretty good tips Missemzy, the sort of things you would never think of ahead of time or read about in a parenting book!

    Haha, cool idea

That I would do many things I said I wouldnt. (co-sleep for 1)

To pick your battles, some things just aren't worth arguing about.

That I can function on far less sleep than I ever imagined.

That life goes too quick, if you blink you miss the bigger picture.

That I am one person with one heart that has infinite space for others

I've also learnt that I desensitize quickly. Getting poop on your hand doesn't seem as gross anymore. Is that a good thing?
