DS1 was due date with meconium in the waters. No ill-effect to his health.
DS2 was 6 days over. Waters all clear.
Block your ears. Some people need to think before the speak. What does she think you holding up the labour process for the fun of it? Bubba will come when he/she is ready.

DS1 was 42 weeks and perfectly heathly and DD was 41weeks and sponateous labour and perfectly healthy.
Yes horrible things can happen but people should be sensitive when they say such things.
But maybe your mum is just worried about you and your bubs?
Not sure where you are but go outside....take some deep breathes...try and relax....because tomorrow you will be holding your bubs in your arms.

It can happen but it's unlikely your baby is going to die simply by being post dates. Dates are an estimation anyway so you could be going ahead nicely.

My bub was born early due to my body complications but I was going to say as annoying as it is when people put thoughts in our head that are worrying, just take it as water off a ducks back.
If there were any risks relating to you the doctors and midwives would let you know. I know several people whose babies were 10 - 12 days late and no issues at all.
Keep smiling and relax.
