Love the name Van! I think it's original and a bit different, and your little boy will have a very cool name :-)

I really like van! Although van kosh sounds a little too similar to van gough for me...

But if you love it, you'll regret it if u don't use it.

Sorry, I'm not a fan. As a PP said, it reminds me a little of Van Gogh with the Koch surname. (I know Van Gogh wasn't pronounced 'Goff', but you hear it said that way so much that it kind of sticks in my head).

It also makes me think of Vin Diesel, and sounds a little too 'trendy' for my tastes. But we all have different tastes, and I tend to prefer more traditional names.

His real name is actually Mark Vincent

OP, if you like it, use it. Have heard of much worse names for sure.

It sounds to me like part of a name. So in your case, I would expect your son to be Van Geoffrey as is full first name, rather than Geoffrey being his middle name.

That is just how it feels to me. But I am not you, so you need to follow your heart and if Van is the right name for you (and your son) then use it.

Seriously go for it! The tone of your post sounds like you already love it and its a name that is easy to pronounce and won't be confused with all the other Jacks and Olivers in the class!
We had picked out our baby boys name while I was still pregnant, and made the mistake of telling people beforehand. Some people LOVED it, others hated it. I don't think you will ever be able to find a name that everyone loves, so go with your heart!!
