im on the search for a baby carrier/sling for my 11 month old, but i would also like to use it on my next baby.
I used a mini monkey sling and a cheapo carrier before and she didn't last long in them, but i would really like to get a sling/carrier for her now (i know she is 11 months) but it would make life easier, and i wouldn't mind spending the money on a good one if i can use it on a newborn for the next baby.
oh and she is around 9kg.
Do you have any recommendations?

I would suggest an Ergo. I used it with the infant infant insert from birth until DS was 2.5. There are a few different ways to carry, front, side and back which makes it versatile and DH could also use it with ease.
I haven't used a Manduca but have heard these are similar to the Ergo and some people even prefer them

I love my manduca! It's worth trying to get onto your local sling group if there is one and testing a few out
