DD had her first hair cut yesterday and the hairdresser offered to put some of her hair in an envelope to take home with me. I have no idea where to put it/what to do with it?
Did you keep some of your child's hair? What did you do with it?

I kept a ringlet and it is in my jewellery box.
No idea really what I will do with it heh, it will probably go into DS' memory box so one day he can say "eww mum why did you keep those things" lol

I never thought to keep DD's hair, but my hairdresser put some in an envelope for me. My baby book actually had a little pouch for it so, I wrapped it in glad wrap & popped it in.

I kept s little and put it into a trinket box. I'm sure DS will be disgusted by it in the future but I think it's a nice memory.

I have it in a book that has memory-type junk in it... that's where the hair is.

Yes, we kept some.. it's in a little plastic bowl with a lid. I should really buy a nice little trinket box to put it in. For some reason it's in the cupboard under the bathroom sink!

Thank you! You've just reminded me - yes, I did!
When my son was born, someone gave us a present in an A4 sized box. I put all sorts of memorable items in that box - the scrubs my husband wore during my caesear, my son's tags from the hospital etc, and his hair is in there too.
When I was a kid, my mum kept a similar box for me - she called it my "special box". It had my first pictures, paintings that I'd made etc in it and as I got older, I always loved to look back over its contents.
I think most people love to remember, and love even more to remember their own past. Your little one might feel the same, so it might be worth keeping the hair somewhere that you'll be able to find in years to come!

No. I think it's creepy keeping hair and teeth (no offence to anyone who did...it's just not my thing).
