I know a lot of babies who when they go to childcare they won't take a bottle, but will eat plenty of good food and water and either side of childcare will have ample amounts of breastmilk. And they do just fine!

Anyways I came on here to find out if it was normal for him to drop a day feed, since I posted the original question he has returned to wanting his day feed and wakes twice at night to be fed, which I happily do. I guess he was just off it for a few days.

There's such a huge range. A PP said their 12 month old was on 6-7 feeds per day, my 11 month old was on one and self weaned at 12 months. Some babies just like solids better, I guess. DS had no day feeds from around 8-9 months and was a boofer like yours. I don't think there's a magic number. If it works, go with it.
