    Default Bone density testing?

    Does it hurt?
    How much does it cost?

It doesn't hurt, it's like an X-ray but takes longer. You should be able to get it done for free at a bulk-billing radiologist/x-ray place.

You can't have it done if you are/might be pregnant or if you are TTC as it scans your pelvis.

(assuming you are having a bone mineral density scan).

Doesn't hurt at all. The first scan from memory you have to pay for and but if they find a problem it's repeated every year and I think it's either bulk billed or becomes claimable through Medicare It's been a while since my first one and my results weren't good and haven't been since then so I have them every year in July.
