    Default Feeling like crap.....

Today is the first day of daycare for DS, if feel awful, i feel so guilty, i have been crying on and off since Friday. I know that me going back to work i will be able to provide for him a better future but i still feel really guilty. I miss him so much, i don't start work till next week so i'm kind of lost. He has only been there for 1/2 hour and i want to go get him already.

Has anyone got some tips for me on how to cope the first few day and some reasurance thati am doing the right thing?

It does get easier. My daycare takes pictures of the kids so when I picked DS up the first couple times I saw how much fun he was having. It made me feel heaps better. I kept myself really busy on daycare days. I had lists of things to do that I could never get through but they kept me going.

    All the best.

I hear you! My dd started daycare this year in jan and I was a mess!!!! honestly it took about 6wks for her to stop crying when i dropped her off and picked her up. I used to ring the daycare up every few hours to check on her and asked them to take pics and txt/email it to me.

Just give your bub time to get used to being away from you. I noticed that her sleep and toilet training took a massive step back for about 4-6wks.

btw my DD was 16mths when she started DC.

My ds had a great day, he didn't sleep very much but had heaps of fun. I can't believe how much I missed him, the group leader took loads of photo's and he ate heaps during the day. Hope things get a little easier. Thanks everyone for your kind comments x
