I hope karma does what it does best. What goes around comes around.. what a scumbag. And the lotto ticket as well.. obviously a sociopath lunatic without a shread of empathy.

Not to mention the general creepiness of these people going into rooms while people are sleeping. It's shocking that hospitals don't have the surveilance to stop it. What if these same people are doing other things? Taking/mixing up medications? Assaulting people in comas? Meddling with drips? Ugh. Now I really REALLY hate hospitals. I am so not ever staying over in one again.

I had everything stolen when my first dd was born. All her gifts and my camera so we lost all her first pictures. I never keep anything of value with me if I go to hospital now

Creepiness is having a 85 yo Polish man tr and jump int he bed with you cause he think's you're his wife!
Or having a 40 yo from the local mental hospital try and attack you while she is half dressed cause she is convinced you are a spy!
I am so glad I have only been in ICU and next to a lady who had just had a full Hysterectomy (no keyhole) Since. Not need to fret when your roomy can't get out of bed.
Have to admit I am dreading Post natal ward still.

Yikes! Now I understand why the women in another thread I follow who have just had babies are scared to have a shower unless someone is minding the baby - how creepy that people will just come into your room!
I will sure as hell be security conscious when I go into hospital soon after reading these stories!

Yep there are some utter rotters out there. I had my maternity bag stolen while I was in the toilet before being induced for dd. I came out of the bathroom, the curtain was wide open and my bag of snacks and hospital bag was gone from the bed.
Stealing from a hospital is evil

Not hospital related but my grandma had her purse stolen by a person on their way home from court. She had just been given parole for stealing bags from the elderly and did it on the way home . She's stolen from sick patients at hospitals before but her preferred target is the elderly .

My ipod was stolen from the birthing suite while we were being loaded into NICU transport. My dh and midwife went back to pack up and it was gone.
Given all the blood and poo the theif would have had to step over, its pretty low!!
