Default Hanging out while on an IVF break..

    Hi all,
I'm on a mini-break from IVF whilst our FS plans our next move. We hope to do another cycle in August, but in the meantime, looking forward to taking some time out and being drug free, even for a little while! If anyone would like to join me while they're on a break too, feel free.
There may already be a similar thread here somewhere but I couldn't find it. If I should be in another thread that you know of, please let me know!
    xx

    Hi Lannie

I am in the same boat as you. First stim cycle in March ended with a chemical preg (mc around 4w6d). Very mild OHSS so we are taking a break until June.

Just focussing on exercise healthy eating and trying to lose weight. We are doing weekly accupuncture to help with my endo. Getting great results already! Starting fertility meditation next week

Its frustrating waiting and just feels like another hold up in this whole process!!!!! We are taking a few weekends away during May while we dont have to worry about appts etc.

What are you up to in the down time??

    Hi there,
I am so sorry to hear of your chemical. This whole process is so full of ups and downs. They can really take you by surprise sometimes too. I am glad to hear that the acupuncture is helping your endo. It's always good to have some progress!
Well, only just had bt on Friday and took it pretty hard cos I was positive that I was pregnant. First time out of 3 cycles that af hadn't arrived before bt. At the moment, we ware waiting for the results of dh's karyotype test to see if there's anything genetically going on that we need to be worried about. I've got an appt with my FS on the 17th so I'm interested to see what he'll say to do from here. I'm nervous, but now just want to know what is going on. I will accept whatever it is that we have to accept, but just want to know either way so we can get on with living! IVF can be all consuming and I need to get my life back. Healthy eating is on my agenda too, but must say I have certainly pigged out on comfort food the past two days!! I'll get back on track soon though.
well, lovely to hear from you and I wish you all the very best as you start your meds. Xx

    Hi Lannie,

I'm hanging out in limbo land too. We decided to take a break as we were heading overseas and we had been doing IVF for about a year non-stop with various miscarriages along the way. I have just had 2 months off and loved every minute of it. I think I just mentally, physically and financially needed a break, not to mention all the free time I had. I'll start a new stimulated cycle in about 2 weeks. Gotta get used to getting back into the IVF groove. I'm hoping the time off might re-invigorate us and our little embies.

Enjoy your break...I think it's worth it.

    Hey ladies

My DH and I have just failed our first round of IVF/ICSI with a fresh transfer. We have been TTC for over 2 years now... We have 5 day 5 blasts frozen, but have been told today the specialist usually likes to have a full months break between fresh cycles and frozen ones. Have most of you been told the same? Or if I really push could I give a FET a go this month? Just so so keen to get this family started....
    Thanks
