Thanks Ladies for all your congratulations - I am absolutely over the moon, as DH is to have gotten to this point. I have a feeling it's just going to go so quickly from now on. I told my grandparents last night who were over the moon - this will be great grandchild number 3 for them. I also told my uncle and cousins who didn't know (my auntie knew) - these are my only family in Australia on my side so I'm very close to them - so they are all excited. We told my DHs parents last night who were both crying...and the rest of his fam will know on Saturday...phew!!

I think I have got it in my head that I'm going to finish up work at Christmas, so December 21st, which is 6 weeks out from due date. I'm taking a year off which means that bubs will be 10 months old when I go back to work. This also means that I have less than 100 working days left - or 19 weeks - yaaaay!

Hope you are all travelling well today...

MrsSimmo I hope the next few weeks go quickly for you

Thanks Beta on the co sleeping info

Nala that is the cutest thing ever - Kate has a baby in her tummy too and it's sleeping - sooo precious

    xx

Topic of discussion please - pregnancy pillows! I'm thinking of getting a 'snoogle' - any opinions good or bad experiences? Also which side am I supposed to be sleeping on? I know after 14 weeks you're not supposed to sleep on your back....?

    Thank you

Slow thread this morning....just little ol' bored me!!

Another thing is what books / DVDs are good for 1st time mums? I've got 'What to Expect When You're Expecting' and another one called 'Babies' I think - but I would love some opinions on books for newborns...

I'm around SL. The boss is in today so I need to be more sneaky

I have one of those full length body pillows but DH had a fight with it last night and it woke me up, I haven't heard of the other one.

I have a couple of baby books but I can't for the life of me remember what they're called. One of them is really good.......... Damn baby brain.

    I have a Belly bean http://www.bellybean.com.au/
and it was awesome towards the end of pregnancy. I LOVED that thing. Only problem, we moved house and I have no idea where it is!!! argh!!

Books are hard. So many different opinions out there.
I liked baby love by Robin Barker (it was realistic to me)
DH LOVED what to expect (and still refers to it!)
a good one for new dads (and us!!) to read is 'so, you're going to be a dad' by Peter Downey. Very funny and well written!

I swore I wasn't going to use a routine. Well, I did. I swore I would never read Tizzy Hall - I did. I swore DS would never go on her routines (he is still on them!)
Its all trial and error and what ever works, go for it!!! I have no longer any opinion on demand/schedule anything because every baby is different. What ever works!!!!!!

its a while off yet, but I highly recommend annabel karmel for weaning advice. I knew nothing about this and she is awesome.
sorry, Im a research nut and I have a whole bookshelf of baby books (if anyone ever wants to visit, feel free ! hee hee)

just found this on pinterest and thought you may like to have a read!
Just ignore the formula talk (they push formula - different brands - in american hospitals.. it doesn't happen here as much)
    Enjoy!
