    Default Buying or renting

We are thinking of moving to a totally different area.
We've always love the area we want to move to but moving away from family puts a question mark.
So we are thinking of renting out our house and rent in the new area to see how we go.
    Is this wise?
    Has anyone done this?
I thought this option is better than selling and buying when we are only 80% sure.

It sounds like the best plan. If you sold and bought and you didn't like it, it would be stressful to re sell and move back, could cause resentment etc, at least this way you can get a feel for the town, what neighbourhoods you like best and gives you time to search for properties you love we just moved from Brisbane to toowoomba and are renting, definitely want to buy after being here a few months though!
