Ok So I am a little confused with OPKs.
If I do a test say first thing in the morningish (not FMU but I haven't eaten or drunk anything despite being up for 1.5 hour) and it comes up positive should it be positive later in the day also?
A couple of time I have done tests they look positive but then a few hours later I do another test (for no reason really) and they are negative, but then a few days later I get a stronger positive OPK (test line is like twice as dark as opposed to about the same shade)
I am having heaps of trouble making sense of things so this info would help.

Hi
I haven't been doing OPK's very long but this is what I was told. You need to do it a few hours after you get up so that the hormone has time to metabolize in your body. I normally do one at say 1pm ish and then one right before bed time both times holding off from drinking anything for a few hours. You need to do it at the same times every day.
At what point in your cycle is it going very dark? around Ovulation, earlier? later? does the darker one match in with any other ovulation symptoms? I would think your darkest ones are the proper positives if they are darker than the control line. Also the ones not showing anything may just be that you haven't waited long enough between tests.
i try to keep mine to keep and eye on how dark they go so that I can try and detect the proper positive.
If I am wrong in any of this, ladies, please correct me.

My cycle lengths vary, so Yes it will link up if I was having a 27 day cycle and for a 30 day cycle in the same month. CM changes go for about 10 days to 2 weeks so not helpful. I think I got it this month. if not we will try again next month too.

Try two times a day around 10am and then around 3-4 pm
I kept mine, sticky taped them to a sheet of paper with cd1,2,3etc written next to it, so i could look at that cycle properly and judge it that way..
