    Default Trying to conceive after 5 years

    I fell pregnant with my now 4 and a half year old son and we weren't even trying. He was a very welcomed surprise. My husband and I are now trying to have another baby but aren't having any luck. We've been trying for 8 months now.
    Is it possible that there may be infertility issues now that weren't there 5 years ago?
    My husband is 29 and I am 25

    Yes, I had the same experience with #1 and #2
    It took 6 years and I required fertility treatment. It's called secondary infertility.

    It took me 18m to fall pregnant with number 2 naturally but we weren't even trying. Give your body time and make sure you relax. I seem to fall pregnant Xmas hols lol because I relax and feel better about dtd lol

    Hi OP,

    Eight months feels like forever, but at your age fertility specialists won't even consider running tests until you've been tracking ovulation for 12 months.

    A few things to think about....

    * are your periods regular?
    * can you pinpoint ovulation? Are you DTD'ing at the right time?
    * do you or DH use cannabis? This (and other drugs, including pharmaceutical) can have a drastic impact on the motility of sperm. Over indulgence in alcohol can have a similar impact I've heard.
    * have you ever been diagnosed with any reproductive issue? Pcos, endo, etc?
