So if a kid said 'I want maccas for tea' every night we let them it because 'that's what they want' I think it's a parents choice to be the adult and make the proper choices for their children and letting them have a blue mullet with a rats tail just because 'they want it' is terrible!

Hair style and colour isnt a health issue so it isnt comparable.

I think "poor kid, doesn't have a chance" with bogan-chic tastes like that.

A nice 80s business-in-the-front, party-in-the-back mullet: what's not to love about that?? Lol!

I hate them both, but whatever floats their boat. I have a friend who grows stupid hairstyles like this for sh1ts and giggles lol He hates them but he likes that it gets a reaction out of people.

I'm a little bit in both camps, I don't like the look of many kids hairdo's - but hey it's just hair for the most

I don't get the teen boy angst and obsession with their hair and the front comb over they all effect, and I laugh when I see them constantly tugging on their huge comb over fringe down the front - almost lik a beehive on back to front.

My kids are NOT allowed to dye their hair til about 16 ish - I don't like young kids dying and tipping their hair as I think it leaves little to look forward as part of a passage of rights of becoming a was a teen, not yet an adult kidadult time.

Ooooh, was he a skate-head? Was it the late 80's? Did he have a Bad Billy jumper?

Sorry, but I do think this is quite harsh.

I am not a fan of the mullet, except I did like the 'designer mullet' of the mid to late 90's like the cute boy from Party of Five and Seventh Heaven.

And....I may have had an unfortunate hair cut resembling the mullet when I was in grade 4, but thats just our little secret.

so because I choose to let my child do something that is not harming you or him I am a Bad parent
it is something that HE likes why cant he have a choice in the way he wears his hair ?
i understand that i am the parent and obviously i say no if something is going to harm him but having some say in the way he looks i have no idea why you would think that would make me a bad parent .. could it be that the theory is reversed ???

again obviously ANY parent would see that maccas everynight is not a good option but seriously MY son having a hawk and a rats tail is totally different to filling him up with junk for dinner every night
so you have never given into your child EVER .. ????

but for you to judge and say my parenting is "terriable"and that i am a "bad parent" for giving my 7 year old a say in the way he looks ... i would say tuff cause im raising a boy that is confident to say what he wants and to make decisions (within reason) and to learn he doesnt always have to follow the "sheep" he can be the person he wants to be

    Hideous. Hideous. Absolutely hideous.

On everyone. I feel especially sad when I see either on children... because who is so cruel as to do that to a little innocent kid?

Crazy hair colours are great for younger people IMO.

Only really cool people can get away with it after about 25. I would love to go FIRE ENGINE RED... but I'm not cool enough and I'm over 25 now. Would have been good to be able to get that out of the way before I was old and stuffy.
