He listens most of the time, his memory is shocking though & he insists I haven't said things that I have, even though he knows his memory is terrible. He is quite responsive to me, I think I'm probably the cause of the little tension we experience. I find it hard to bring things up so let it get to the point where it spews out of me violently when really, if I just opened up about whatever it was a bit earlier it needn't have been a dramatic confrontation. Actually when I get all dramatic he just laughs at me which is good because then I laugh too.
On the odd occasion where he's been shirty at me for bringing something up he's always thanked me the next day or a few hours later - so I know he thinks about what I've said afterwards.
