    Default Diet pills and Zoloft?

    Hi,

Am wondering if anyone could reccomend a good diet pill and if anyone knows of any side effects it could have when mixed with my antidepressant zoloft.

    Thanks

I am fairly sure you could use duromine if your gp was ok with it. I once had my gp recommend anti depressants like Zoloft as diet pills. I took Zoloft for two and a half years I list weight as first but nothing after that.

Duromine can cause "come downs" and insomnia. Probably look into maybe a natural supplement that makes you feel fuller.... A pharmacist should be able to tell you if they clash

    Thanks.

I had a friend on duromine and she was wired all the time. Never ate, was up all night cleaning (scrubbing the floor with a toothbrush?!) got so angry at her children, and had no sex life.

I have read the zoloft can make you gain weight and that its hard to naturally lose weight while on it.
Im going to talk to the doctor about changing as my weight is a big issue for me and is contributing to my depression.

Ill talk to my doctor too.

    Thanks!

So negative haha. But most non prescription stuff you are correct. I've heard duromine is a fairly effective party drug, not so sure about the weight loss though didn't work for my friend

I'm not familiar with Zoloft, but while on Lexapro I asked my GP if I could be prescribed Duromine and she said no because both are trying to send messages to your brain and your brain gets confused about if all (she would have said it more scientifically than that! That's just the message I got from her).

Can you change antidepressants instead? I'm about to change to Cymbolta because it apparently doesn't make you gain weight like others can.

I'd talk to your GP. He or she is going to be able to offer more sound advice than a bunch of randoms on a forum... especially about something which could be quite dangerous (mixing 2 drugs).

I just wanted to know if anyone had done it really.

I did talk to my Dr and she said whilst on antidepressants not to take diet pills just workout and ear healthy. Which I have been and I've lost 2kg in 2wks

I was prescribed duromine while I was also taking an anti-depressant. I don't think I was on Zoloft then, I think I was still on Lexapro. Both ADs anyway.
