To any pregnant ladies!
I am a second year student nurse/midwife at University of Queensland in Brisbane. As part of our education we are required assist pregnant ladies throughout their pregnancy with a Continuity of Care Program. It is a great part of the degree as it provides a support network for yourself and gives invaluble experience to me as a student midwife.
I would be in contact with you a number of times over the antenatal period through attending appointments or antenatal classes, attend the birth and then folluw up with postnatal meetings.
If you are before 35 weeks gestation, live in Brisbane or the northern suburbs in the RBWH catchment and would be interested in further information about being a part of this continuity of care program, do not hesitate to contact me via email or phone.
The program is support by University of Queensland and the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and in no way takes away from the care being provided by the medical or midwifery staff. In the past many have found this program very beneficial and have enjoyed the additional support
I look forward to hearing from you and meeting with you if you feel you would like to be involved.
