Apparently historically it is a catholic v protestant education thing in Ireland. I just googled it. Learn something new every day!

I used to say it with the 'h' sound then when my first son started learning the alphabet, I wanted to make sure I was saying it the right way and looked it up... now I say aitch
And my son corrects his dad lol
