We found out with DS but had decided prior not to tell anyone. Mostly because we wanted it to be a surprise but also because some family members didn't want to know. The ones that did want to know (mainly MIL) weren't too happy to be left out so next time we will probably not find out the sex just so there's no drama

It is very hard to keep it a secret though, we did accidently let a lot of 'he' and 'his' slips in conversation.

Our first and second we found out but told nobody as I wanted to know but hubby didn't, so we compromised. Although he knew nobody else did so he was still able to ring with the exciting news on buns arrival and I was able to be organized as I'm not a fan of neutral clothing lol. The third we didn't find out as we already had one of each and had no preference. This time our 4th we will find out and tell everyone. So I think we have covered every way possible

Even if you don't have a chance to talk him into finding out before you go today then you can always book into the places that do gender or 4d scans later and find out at a later date.

Very torn with what I should do. Even thought that maybe I get him to go over the area & I have a guess myself - I kind of know what to look for. Last time I had a strong girl feeling all along but this time I'm completely not sure.

My friend got the sonographer to write it in an envelope and take it home and she used it as a tease to convice him to find out so they opened it together 3 days later

With my second I found out and dh didn't want to know. I never told him. As it was it was very obvious at the scan anyway. This time, we both found out, but nobody else knows.

My DH found out and I didn't. We has it written and placed in an envelope for him to read.
Amazingly he didn't tell me but just teased me swapping between boy and girl.
We had a DS and I was glad I got that surprise.
