Thanks Roma i'm still in a bit of disbelief, every twinge i think something is going to go wrong, just have to try and stay calm for the next few weeks.
You're going to have a christmas baby, how exciting!!
Zamick, that sounds bad, i get awful migraines as well, hope it goes away. What do you take for it? My clinic told me Panadol or panidene are fine but i always am a bit hesitant. The estradoil gives me horrible headaches.
I can totally understand that, its so hard to just be happy when you are always thinking of the things that can go wrong. I guess all you can do is try to be calm and take it day by day. Oh i would have loved twins too! But i am more than happy with one healthy bubba.
I will prob be the same with the NT scan, my DP will want me to have it too.
Thanks for the numbers! I think I'm just slightly behind you so that makes me feel lots better.
God, i've been ringing around obstetricians, i can't get any of the ones i want in January! Down here, you literally have to "bonk and book" as they say

Ok this is a lucky thread! I have to admit I have been silently stalking this thread over my tww, I didn't want to jinx myself by contributing for some weird reason, but I would not have got through the tww without forums.
Clementine- Like you, I got my BFP today..congrats to u and everyone else, it was weird knowing someone else out there was waiting for good news today too! you got yours first and I was sitting on BH waiting for the phone to ring, it was absolutely agonizing , both myself and DH... I was looking for all the symptoms everyone had in their tww and of course mine were different and couldn't tell if it was medication or what. Then I realized this morning I am on progynova and of course AF couldn't even show up if she wanted to. Got totally flat after that and thought it would be bad news today, so what a pleasant surprise, i was so shocked i was crying to the poor nurse, hubby had taken that very moment to have a shower, it was all surreal. It still hasn't sunk in yet.
Fingers crossed for everyone.. The next stage of waiting beings!

Yay congrats Beta and welcome!!
What's the next step for you?
Clementine I took some panadeine today but it did nothing, I used an ice pack on my temple and the back of my neck it helped a little, usually I can just sleep them off but in the past I was admitted to hospital for 2 wks at a time when they were out of control. However since I cut gluten (and predominantly dairy) from my diet, they have dramatically decreased and only get one every few months.

Next step for me, a repeat blood test next Friday, hcg yesterday was 449 (couldn't believe my ears!!) then another one the following week.. So many steps to wait for! My FS does scans at 7 weeks so another 3 weeks to go.
I'm nervous about finding an obstetrician, we are all due in peak holiday season!

Congrats Beta!!! It is pretty surreal this time between the blood test and the 7 week scan.
Even now, I'm still on tenterhooks. It's about 10 days until my first obs appt and I am terrified something's going to happen between then and now. I know that there's nothing I can do now (within reason) that will alter the outcome but I'm still pretty scared at times.

Hello Beta! Welcome to the next tww I see you’re another Melbourne girl like me and Zakmick. Are u with Melb or Monash ivf? (I’m Monash Clayton) I choose my obstetrician by picking the hospital I wanted to go to first then looking at the list of obs there and it just so happened that Dr Gareth Weston who did my EPU and DH’s TESA is also an ob at Cabrini. I picked Cabrini because it has a good reputation and is closest to my house and I’m going private. I figure what’s another $4500 to have the baby after already spending $10k?!
Clementine – I’m so happy you’re here with us in this thread!! Woo hoo! Did they measure you progesterone levels too?
Check this hcg calculator out: http://www.babymed.com/tools/hcg-calculator it helps you see how your levels are increasing and normal! Mine where: 16dpo 237, 23dpo 3965, 30dpo 27,843
I booked my ob at 4weeks, it felt weird booking that early but I thought because of the time of year I better get in early too.
Zakmick – hugs, I don’t know what its like to get migraines but it sounds awful and not something u want on top of eps. Yay to seeing the little flickering heartbeat tho! I think I would be a little sad too only seeing one hb after putting 2 back in, I think it would be natural to feel the loss of that other embie
Roma – you have the best attitude! Congrats on your scan results! This is all so exciting. Nice ticker too.
I’ve got my 7 week scan on Monday!! Sorry I haven’t been posting much, but with work and now the ms kicking in I really haven’t been able do much else when I get home. But I feel good this morning in fact I’m just going to ride down to the velodrome to meet some friends for some fun laps (no racing)

Hello Akakura! Looks like we have 3 cycles in common too, as well as switching clinics! I got my BFP with Monash Hawthorn, also the best decision I ever made was changing clinics and FS. I truly believe I would not be eligible for this thread without my new FS. My old clinic never found out my issues, but were happy to keep being paid for unsuccessful cycles. Anyway, onwards and upwards.. I'm hoping to book the obs my sister has already tried and tested (she also had IVF) it will feel weird calling so early, but i'm worried about missing out as ive learnt the health care provider is a major contributor to success or not! and yes, whats another 5k especially as we thought we would be paying it in future IVF cycles! Best of luck for monday
Roma - good luck for your obs appt, may the next 10 days hurry, we all want to see the next few weeks wiz past!
Zakmick, congrats on going gluten free, maybe it also helped get you a BFP? I have read alot about people who have gluten intolerance have issues TTC.
Clementine - good luck for monday, may they call you early in the day with high numbers, that waiting for the call is a killer.
AFM one wait at a time.. 5 days to go for repeat HCG and progesterone.. have commenced weaning off steroids, still jabbing with clexane, taking aspirin and estrogen plus progesterone support. I had acupuncture this am, (my saturday ritual), chinese Dr was pleased to hear about the BFP and tells me my pulse is strong and healthy (any encouragement welcome!)

Yes absolutely gluten can affect infertility if you are intolerant. I've been off gluten for 4 yrs now, so I hope it's helped, well I've been getting the BFP but none have stuck till now ( cross fingers).
It's good you are having repeat BT etc as its less waiting in between and will hopefully help the waiting game.
I took steroids too but only for first 5 days of FET- this was the change in this cycle.
Afm: very tired today having lots of naps

Yay aka for 7 wk scan, it's incredible and unbelievable x

Beta, is such a roller coaster isn't it! It's so hard getting a bfp because then you are worried about it sticking. 449 is wonderful! You and I will have to hang out till our scans, the next tww (well 3ww). I'm so nervous about monday, i really hope the beta is good. I have a good feeling about this one, but i think I'm going to be nervous about every test till the very end.
Roma, you will be ok feel exactly the same, but just have to take it one day at a time. You are ticking off those weeks and before you know it, you'll be at 13 or 14 weeks. I know it can still happen, but its such a low chance after you hear a heartbeat. Only 5 % my dr said, so just have to think you'll be in the 95%.
Zamick, you poor thing. Migraines are so awful, i get 3 day blinders (just like my mum) and i can't do anything but sit in a dark room and take mercindol so am def hoping i don't get too many. Hope you don't get any bad ones that need you to go to hospital, that sounds bad.
Akakura, thanks for the hcg numbers. I did put my two beta's into that calculator and they seem right on target. I'm still really worried they are a bit low, but the nurse said it was fine, that it was doubling. I really hope on monday it's gone up again. I was 14dpo 49 and 16dpo 130. If i get some good numbers next week, it will ease my mind slightly. I felt totally weird booking into obstetrician's too, like i was going to jinx it but in Canberra, they are hard to get, especially in Jan!. The two i wanted are both on holidays, another one is retiring so there are very few. Every receptionist told me, ring this one and book today! We're going private as well, exactly right, whats another 5k after we've already spent double or 3 times that.
I'm actually starting to feel more yukky as the days go on. I usually have nausea with the estrdoil but this morning i woke up to a churning tummy, and went i went shopping just for half an hour i feel sick and dizzy and clammy. Kind of like being hungover hehehe. I thought though, it must be way too early for the symptoms to kick in. I also came home and had a big 3 hour nap and am still tired.
Now just hanging out till the 1st of June, baby, please stick! Thank so much for all your support girls, this is such a hard time and knowing i can come onto bubhub and talk to you guys is such a comfort. We are all going to get through this and all be big and fat this christmas
