Ergo is a great idea if it is within your price range!

Bonds also do a pack online -

I think of grey as unisex but some might not.

    Or newborn photo shoot voucher?
Hand and foot cast voucher or you can buy smaller DIY kits.

My favourite baby shower gifts were the gift basket/boxes a few friends made up for me. Had lots of things I hadnt thought of buying like:

    -baby Panadol
    -infants friend
    -brush
    -nail set
    -lanisoh cream
    -white noise CD
    -nappy sacks
    -baby bubble bath/shampoo

For a friend who didn't find out the gender I bought some bibs, socks, pram toy, bath stuff.

I recently a few cute handmade bibs and a beanie for my cousin's surprise baby. There are lots of gender neutral prints.

I would suggest just a trip down the baby aisle in the supermarket - any organic or good quality 'usable' things - wipes, baby bath, nappies - anything that would mean one less thing to have to shop for in the first weeks/months.

Also if you have a few dollars to spend, marinokids have fantastic stuff, my daughter has had a lot of the 'blue' range. The quality is unbeatable and delivery is quick.
