I agree with April - the waiting.

Followed closely by trying tonjuggle l the appointments around work and not look like a weirdo who has all these appointments.

going to work or a family gathering and having to hold it together and not cry and scream during (yet another) pg annoucement.

my first deadbeat FS who wasted my time and $$$

the strain it put on my relationship

making me second guess and feel guilty for having one cup of coffee/ tea/wine (omg) when in the end it made no difference.....

How the whole infertility mind **** just makes you feel inadequate and there is nothing you can change or control about it - everything else in your life you can put in the hours /effort & you get results - here you are at the mercy of random & art!

That and being told your eggs are OLD & if you had 25 year old eggs to put back in you'd be UTD in no time - I am 40 and had a life before I started trying to have kids & had no partner to have children with - I can't rurn back the clock make them any younger!!!!!! Stop pointing out the bleeding obvious.....

Gosh that does feel better :-)))))

    1. Being asked if we will adopt! Like they think it will never work...

    2. Constant dildo cams and blood tests!

On a funny note my FS laughs at me, apparently I'm the fastest patient to undress she has treated! Odd because I was the biggest prude a few years ago, not anymore. I figure if I pay her $8000 she can put up with my vag!

That must be very hard for you! Lucky I don't have a sister to compete with..

I hate that dh and I have been together happily 10 years and ppl still continually ask 'when are you having kids' or 'oh it's about time' ummmm I realise that but thanks for reminding me of my infertility! Ahhhhh! Haha

    Happy Saturday everyone!

    Hello lovely ladies,

The things i hate about IVF are
    1. The dreaded TWW wait!! (It's only my first but one moment i am happy about the TWW symptoms and other moment i try to tell myself it is just side effect of Crinone)
    2. mood swings One moment i am happy and then out of nowhere, I am this sad mess (again side effect of progesterone)
    3. Financial pressure - the fear of all that money going down the drain if this cycle doesn't work.
I agree with Kmvw I have been asked about adopting a child instead. I just felt like sceaming on top of my voice that day crying " Why me"

Lying in recovery with two other women who had been told they had extracted 10 eggs each & they get to me, with a sympathetic look & say 3. The first time during the while process I cried in a big heap at the clinic, my poor DH & FN.

How it feels like a gambling addiction. The more you put in the more you feel like the payout should be just around the corner. Just one more, the next one will be it. Ive put too much in to stop now.

The fact that after having gone through so much before IVF and with each cycle, the outcomes are so unfair for some but not others. And there's no way to tell which camp you'll be in when you start a cycle.
