Default When health and morals don't mix

How do you feel better about it when you have been given pills to keep your heart beating properly but they are gelatine coated? (vegetarians)

I think for the sake of your health and for your daughter you have to let your health win over morals, especially given the seriousness of what you've been through. I know that's not going to be easy but in this case I just don't think you have a choice. Sorry. I'm glad you didn't have to have surgery, hang in there xx

I don't think it's about morals when you have no choice.
I mean eat this or die is hardly a choice.

Yes, was just wondering how other vegetarians/vegans feel about this. I know it's not a choice really.

It is awful that you have to have something that is against your morals. I am not a vegetarian so I don't have much to offer, but have you spoken to the pharmacist about any alternative tablet casings?

There is only what I have unfortunately, everything else is too expensive, as it is I just spent a small fortune on a week's worth of pills. It really is this or nothing. I could feel the judgement when I went with these ones

You have to for your health. I know it is an animal product but the animal didn't die to make that gelatine, it is a By-product and would otherwise be discarded. Better for your health than to be wasted.
