Default thing to request before you even start your first round of IVF

Having spoken to many couples and donated to many more who have shelled out so much money for IVF i thought it was important to list some things you should insist on before starting ivf to save time and potentially alot of money.

Insist on a AMH test to see how your egg reserve is.
Insist on testing of your lining of uterus
Insist on sperm count and quality test.
Insist on every test to make sure everything is ok with fallopian tubes.
Insist on a NKC test - its to test to see if you have natural killer cells that will cause a miscarriage each time you get pregnant.

I know specialists like to test as they go along but this is very time and money consuming. If you get all of your testing out the way at least you know what you are and arent dealing with from the get go.

And if you think that IVF is expensive and can be a bit of a cash cow you are right. All IVF and fertility clinics are owned by Nevada Gambling Syndicates as gambling and infertilty are huge in the money grabbing sector which will always be ongoing.

While I agree with your comments on pre-IVF testing (my clinic, Genea, has done this with us without us having to ask) I would like some proof of your claim that all IVF clinics are owned by gambling syndicates...!

But some of those tests are completely irrelevant. e.g. You don't even need fallopian tubes for IVF, so why would it matter if they're blocked?
I think the current methods of testing based upon your history are appropriate. You just need to have a FS who pays proper attention to you.

Most of those tests were done for us before our first cycle. I asked about more tests when our first cycle failed but our FS did not think it was necessary given there was no evidence of anything being wrong. We succeeded on our second cycle so I am glad that we did not waste time and money on further invasive procedures. We already knew we were contending with PCOS and MFI.

in an upcoming doco on the abc there will be proof revealing who actually invests and owns Fertility clinics and i got this info straight from the doco maker who had just come back from the States and had interviewed one of the members of the syndicate who admitted this and yes it does extend to australia.

As i said in my post, after hearing so many people getting stringed along by slack FS who are not as on the ball as they should be this was simply a post of advice from those starting out.

also do you think i would post this bit of info re: gambling syndicates owning and investing in IVF, for fun? When you think of it why wouldnt they as people are becoming increasingly reliant on IVF and will spend and spend to have a baby so its literally a no fail investment.
