    Do it! We're in the UK (due to emigrate to Victoria when our house sells). My OH has family in NZ and we travelled there with our now 5 year old when he was 4 months old and it was an absolute breeze - he was in the sky cot 80% of the time and it was so much easier than keeping an older child entertained on a flight.

    We're off the NZ and Australia again in May so we can activate our visas and I'm already stressing about keeping a 5 year old entertained on a 30 hour journey :-/

    Edited to add- we found Emirates really good travelling with a baby

    Emirates is awesome travelling with kids.. We have flown to canada 3 times with 3 children ranging from 3 months to 5 years and they are awesome, and I formula feed and they let me on with all of bubs bottles
