DH wants to buy DS (who will be 26.5months when newborn arrives) a motorised 4WD thing? (you know that ones from target??)
I think we should get him something a little bit smaller!!! And maybe something that will distract him a little whilst I am tending to newborn, unlike the ride on thing that’s just going to drive me nuts!
We are already getting him his own ‘baby’ (doll) before the newborn arrives.

DD2 "bought" DD1 a barbie doll last year. It was a congratulations gift for becoming a big sister, something she'd had wanted to be for ages.

We bought my kids toys they could play with at the hospital (to keep them occupied while they visited). DS was Thomas toys (which he got from each of my daughters when they were born. DD got a doll I think.

I think DS would benefit from having something to distract him with whilst I am with the newborn. I mean it might only last a week the shiny new distraction toy but I'd be happy with a week lol!

DD has been very generous to DS. She is getting him some lego and a tablet (DS has started to want to learn to read because he says he would like to read books to baby). I wanted things which he could do during 'down time'.
