Gastro comes in many different forms and strains, all differ slightly. Your is obviously ok but some are deadly.
You can take up to aweek or more to recover, especially being pregnant, I've had it 3 times this preg and it's no fun. The most important thing is to make sure your not getting dehydrated. You should also buy some disinfectant and do door handles, fridge handles, toilet/bathrooms high chairs etc. keep up the washing.

you may have picked it up they food or maybe from day care/kids etc or just been unlucky. It will pass but after aweek if your still vomiting go to the doc.

Im. A foods safety inspector/teacher so I know a fair bit on food poisoning but it all crosses over a bit.

    drink drink drink water!

    It really depends.
You definitely went back to work way too soon - 8hrs vomit free is not long enough to consider yourself fully recovered. Give it at least 24hrs.
Make sure you let your tummy rest, even if you're feeling better, by eating bland food and no dairy. If you rush back into normal eating you risk upsetting your belly again.
Rest, keep up with fluids and handwashing/disinfecting of the house.

    Hope you feel better soon.
