    If you're worried about too much sodium or the various preservatives and whatnot then probably avoid them, but I've never stressed too much about preservatives (I couldn't tell you anything about them), or colours or anything and would have introduced my daughter to vegemite around that age.

    She doesn't like vegemite anymore as a 6-year-old, but it seems to have done no real harm...

    Well, she had her first little taste with some toast, not sure what she thought, there was a lot of screwing up the face, LOL...

    Yep just make sure it's a minimal amount as it is very high in sodium.

    You can also buy an all natural one called "vege spead" it's in the health food section.

    Ds has been having it spread thick since about 8 months old, it'd the only thing with salt in it that we eat regularly.

    We have chips etc sometimes but not often.
