    Default Maternity opaque stockings/pantyhose/tights?

    Anyone know where I can get reasonable quality opaques for over bump wear for reasonable $$? I am dubious about the ones on Ebay but don't want to spend $24 on a pair of tights....

    Dunno the price but yesterday I saw good quality bump tights at Target. They've just got new maternity stock in & have some nice stuff currently.

    I just bought regular tights and then snipped down the front seam a few inches so that they would sit comfortably under my belly.

    I did this pre-pregnancy too as it avoids the yucky muffin top look.

    I got mine from Myer, I think Ambre brand or something smilier?

    They were great :-)

    I'm loving Ambra tights too. I bought a few different ones from Myer on the weekend - the fleece lined ones are my favourite, as they are quite thick.

    They are quite low though, mine are sitting just under my little bump (only 18+3). There seemed to be a few types of maternity specific ones at Myer, that cover the bump, but I haven't tried any of them.

    My favourite cheap leggings were Platinum Body ones, but I can't seem to find them anymore.

    I love Ambra too! I got the Ambra Opaque Baby Bump Maternity Tights in opaque and they are a great fit. The main reason I like them is because they sit up and over your bump, so give your hips a nice smooth look rather than the "muffin top" look you sometimes get if they sit low - good for wearing dresses etc over the top.

    I ordered them online through Queenbee and they were only $16.95 (free delivery too!!)

    I got a pair from Mothercare for $12 I think- they are over the bump an super comfy and definitely not to over priced!

    I brought the target ones and really like them. They are nice and thick so look good and really comfy going over my bump.

    Great stuff- thanks for all the helpful replies, I tried the snipping the seam but I am a victim of the jelly belly under the bump (2 previous kiddies!) so under bump felt weird to me, I will waddle into Target and Myer today and check them out- I don't think we have a Mothercare in Tassie unfortunately.

    I have previously bought mine from Myer. From memory they weren't much more expensive than normal opaques, but just a different size.
