Thanks Tattoedcaz I've just read through all of the stuff on his site on PCOS, sounds like he is the person to see if we don't get success. I agree that it is good to keep an open mind regarding second opinion if things aren't working, it's all too expensive if you're not getting the outcome you want!! Looks like you're in great hands with Dr Molloy, keep us posted how you go with your IVF.

I'm not trying to bad mouth Julie at all but that is who I was originally seeing. She is lovely and has a good bedside manner but we weren't getting anywhere near as close as we are now. I'm extremely glad she's picked up on your high AHM so quickly as that is what she never bothered to check for me back in 2010 when we first started seeing her. Good luck and my fingers are crossed for you on your TTC journey Xx

Oh gosh!! You've got me all worried now. Thanks for the heads up. Obviously I'll see how things go in the next few months but just for reference how hard was it to change over? Did they have any issue sending your stuff to qfg.
I hear lots on here about qfg but not much about cfg, is it a general thought that cfg is not as good?

I didn't mean to get you all worried I just think that you should have a time limit as to how long you should be on Clomid etc. Obviously her goal was to get me pregnant, I just don't understand why she didn't do thorough tests in the beginning which wouldn't have taken so much of my time and money like I previously said. As she was my first FS I had nothing to compare her to etc so I just went on a limb hoping for the best but after a year of trying everything she said we were just going around in circles. I am lucky that I do have age on my side but I cannot stress enough to anyone to always get a second opinion especially when you're doing timed intercourse, acupuncture, and anything and everything to get pregnant. You're putting your body through so many hurdles and I just came to a standstill and broke down after she told me the dose she had me on on Gonal F resulted in OHSS and the huge cyst. I know it wasn't her intention I just honestly got tired of always leaving her office back at square one and not moving forward after a year. I do know I am impatient at times but hey, I started getting extremely depressed and had enough of injecting my stomach nearly 3/4 of every month with no result.
I don't know how hard it is/was for others but my GP has been my one and only GP ever since I came into this world and was more than supportive in me wanting another opinion and gave me another referral to take to Dr Molloy. As I keep track with all medications and operations i was able to dump my pile of info on my new FS's desk and that was enough for him to start running his own tests.
From what I gather, CFG to QFG is like the Jetstar to Qantas if that gives you any idea

This could be a good cycle for us and here's hoping we find success this time. We are on the same cycle days now I gather.
Wow I forgot how cheap medical treatment is in Australia. Gotta love Medicare. Of course we don't have that here so have to pay 100% of everything. One scan costs $150 without any consultation fees! So needless to say we are prepared to take the chance of doing just opk and regular BD. With saying that I can see the point in getting scans done. Just to put the mind at ease...
I really hope you have success with your current Dr. Nothing worse then feeling you are getting no where. Life is hard enough that is for sure.

Yeah fx TTC just a bit disappointed to hear caz had such a bad experience when I was thinking all was going along ok. It's just hard to think maybe your not in the best place or with the best fs but still good to know all the same. Sucks with the costs over there, hope you get a BFP without having to go through too much more. What are you doing to fill up your days now your a lady of leisure?

Yeah the cost of treatment is high here but we make do with what we have.
Let's hope you don't have to take a long ttc journey with your current fs and that things work out. This is a very frustrating process.
I am keeping busy with researching education courses and getting fit in the gym. I also have a friend that is a pcos sufferer and is also ttc so we meet up every week. Officially I am still getting paid until next week so am treating these few weeks as holidays.
My focus is on ttc and getting myself healthy so a good old detox of the life was in order. Let's hope it does the trick.
So great you get to have a week off especially tacked onto a long weekend in brissie! This extended holiday may be what you need. Let me know how your scan goes. I hope you get loads of healthy follies
Do you do meditation? Just curious as I have heard it can help with the ttc journey. I don't do it but will start to give it a go.

Hey Greenfairy hoe did your scan go today?
10-05-2012 19:41 #29
That was supposed to be how did your scan go.....

Hey TTC the scan is this afternoon so I'll post back later. How are you feeling this cycle? I've not got my hopes up and have decided I don't want to bother with clomid anymore if this round hasn't worked. Given what caz said above and my ridiculous high amh level I think I've got a better chance with injections but will see what the fs says. Thank god it's Friday!!
